Markie Post

Markie Post grew-up in Walnut Creek. She began her professional career as a television and film producer, notably "The New Card Sharks", (1978) as well as "Card Sharks" (1986). Post went on to produce projects such as Double Dare (1976), and has appeared on many TV shows, including E! True Hollywood Story (1996), Electra Woman (2001) as well as Dyna Girl (2001). Perhaps her greatest TV performance was "Christine Sullivan" on Night Court (1984). She appeared in an entire 156 episodes of this show from 1984 until 1992. Marylee (Armstrong) Post is her daughter. She was a poet and noted nuclear physicist Richard Freeman Post (November 14, 1918 to April 7, 2015). With her second husband Michael A. Ross, she had two children: Katie Ross (born June 26 1986) and Daisy Ross (30 March 1990). She was born in Palo alto, California and grew up in the vicinity of Walnut Creek, California. As cheerleader, she attended Las Lomas High school located in Walnut Creek. The Bachelor of Arts degree from Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon. She was part of the trick roping team in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). The body was cremated and the remains were given to her husband Michael A. Ross. She was a lifetime Democrat. Markie Post passed away on August 7, 2021. She was just three months from what would have been her 71st birthday on November 4. She passed away 27 days after fellow Night Court (1984) co-star Charles Robinson, who passed away on July 11, 2021. Even though the shows were not related, Night Court (1984) was the final show to end with Christine Sullivan's character moving to Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992) began with Post as Georgie Lahti. Post was a new character in Hearts Afire (1992), and she later relocated to a small community following her work in Washington DC.
