Magda Apanowicz

Magda Apanowicz (NOH-vitch; Polish: born on November 8 the 8th of November, 1985) is a Canadian actress. She is most well-known for her roles in ABC Family's Kyle XY as Andy Jensen and Syfy's Caprica science fiction drama series in the role of Lacy Rand. Emily Hartwell, a science fiction actress, was born Maya Hartwell. In the past, she played Sandy in the Netflix thriller series You. Apanowicz is of Polish descent and spent one time in Poland in the 9th grade. Her family was there through her uncle and was a student at Jelenia Gora school. Later, she attended Vancouver Film School. The brother of her introduced her to Pulp Fiction at the age 10 and she was instantly fascinated by acting. She started her acting career with the 2002 film Jeremiah and John Doe. In 2007-2009 she was the character Andy Jensen in Kyle XY. In 2008, she was a guest star as Andy Jensen on Every Second Counts on the Hallmark Channel. In 2009, Apanowicz was cast to portray Lacy Rand in Caprica's TV drama with Eric Stoltz & Alessandra Turresani. She later appeared in Hellcats. In 2012, she appeared as a guest in the second season of Jane Espenson's romantic comedy web series, Husbands.In 2013, Apanowicz was cast as Emily in the show Continuum Also, she appeared in the Eli Roth horror film The Green Inferno as Samantha. Though it was made in 2012, The Green Inferno was internationally made available in 2015.In 2017, Apanowicz was cast as Angela in the science-fiction thriller film Volition. It was released in 2020. In 2019, Apanowicz played the role of Sandy in the second season of Netflix thriller You.
